Job Description

UNLOCK YOUR POTENTIAL WITH SABRE As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of a program of projects, from reviewing RFQ packages to liaising with clients and ensuring compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements. You will utilize your technical proficiency and industry knowledge to prepare comprehensive evaluations of project performance, manage major contracts with multiple projects, and drive continuous improvements with regards to our working relationships with key clients. Key Responsibilities: Review assigned RFQ packages, in support of the estimating team. Ensure adequate information is provided and that Sabre is able to meet the requested scope. Evaluate material/labour costing. Support the supplier pricing and lead times for required equipment/materials. Review quotes to ensure compliance to all requirements of the RFQ. Ensure required clarifications are resolved, supplier Data & Document Requirements (SDDR) are defined and that all terms and conditions are acceptable to Sabre. Review and process customer purchase orders (and subsequent add-ons or change orders). Ensure scope, terms and conditions, and other contractual requirements match Sabre's quote. Provide required info and documentation to admin personnel Prepare and maintain weekly project dashboards, including risk analysis and scenario planning. Report to SLT on program status and project specific issues / mitigation plans. Support the Project Managers with all aspects of the projects in a timely, effective manner and ensure Sabre compliance with all contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements. Manage customer, supplier, and internal communications, monitor construction progress, attend internal/external project meetings, etc. Provide timely advance notice of pending projects to Operations and Production Manager to enable effective production scheduling and manpower planning. Support the provision of Manufacturing information (shop traveler, client specs, purchasing reports, etc.) to Plant Manager at project start-up. Maintain effective communication with production and QA personnel and support requests for material purchases, project information, technical clarification, documents, etc. Support with the timely purchasing of project materials to meet construction schedule and optimize productivity. Monitor projects to ensure all requirements are met (delivery of vendor or customer-supplied materials and supporting QA docs, design conformance, completion deadlines, internal/external testing and inspection, etc.) Ensure effective change management practices are followed (scope changes, customer approval of design changes, drawing revision control, communication of such changes to affected parties, etc.). Ensure effective coordination of product shipping requirements (crating, crane lifts, packing list creation, customer shipping releases, etc.). Monitor Invoicing and AR for key accounts, and ensure timely follow up. Create a systems and maintain accurate, organized project files/records to ensure these are readily accessible by others as needed. Comply with the policies, processes and procedures of Sabre's QMS and HSE Programs Additional Tasks: Estimating & Proposals Project Management Assist with facilitating RFQ's Review of Proposals Project Final Cost analysis on a monthly basis. Mentor, coach and train Project Managers within a portfolio of projects. Resolve problems when they arise Report progress weekly, both external and internal. Work as a team member to complete projects. Enforce safety procedures and meet electrical codes. Make decisions based on technical documents. Ensure that crews are performing quality testing and inspections. Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Relevant post-secondary education (required) Minimum 15 years’ experience in similar role (preferably in manufacturing for O&G clients) Experience managing multimillion dollar manufacturing projects. ($3M) Experience managing multiple projects at one time. Experience managing MSA's, Large Contracts, or Evergreen Contracts that involve consolidated reporting and performance management at a portfolio level. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD (preferred) Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written/oral communication skills Excellent leadership, organizational, conflict resolution, time management, and multi-tasking abilities Previous experience in industrial electrical, e-house, instrumentation, switchgear, switchboards, or control panel construction. Estimating knowledge and experience is a requirement. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines. Understanding of electrical systems. Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to communicate and report effectively. Problem-solving abilities. Those with strong Senior level Project Management experience, with large contracts, or MSA's, but without an electrical background are welcome to apply.
