Structural Engineer - Buildings

Our client, a building structure contractor are looking to hire a Structural Engineer with experience working on construction buildings within the residential, institutional, commercial or industrial sectors As a Structural Engineer your key accountabilities will involve: Designing and analyzing building structures, ensuring they meet structural integrity standards. Developing detailed structural models using AutoCAD and other design software. Assessing environmental and human-induced loads to ensure safety and compliance. Selecting appropriate construction materials aligned with project specifications. Supervising and providing technical guidance to on-site construction teams. Ensuring adherence to construction safety regulations and standards. Managing budgets effectively and allocating resources appropriately. Monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying and resolving any challenges. Collaborating closely with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders. As a Structural Engineer your experience and qualifications will include: Proven experience as a Structural Engineer or in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory frameworks. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software is a bonus. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus. Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) preferred.
