Job Description Summary The Inspection and Training Specialist will act as ASPP (DLGS 81/08) reporting to Europe EHS Leader/RSPP. The Inspection and Training Specialist will support the Avenza team to manage the EHS risks, hunting the hazards and defining improvement actions. The ultimate goal is helping the operational team to avoid injuries, accidents, HIPOs, etc. Job Description The Inspection and Training Specialist will: Lead a set of inspections in different work areas (Gate 1/Gate 3, Gate 2, Maintenance) including both AA and Contractors jobs. Be focused on workstations, tooling/fixtures, and work methods. Lead inspections on a daily basis to monitor EHS programs such as Contractor Management, Lockout/Tagout, Work permit, lifting, forklift, chemicals, and PPE. Conduct inspections as needed on lifting devices, ladders, and other special fixtures. Lead periodic inspections on shelves/pallet racks. Support the team by training supervisors (line leaders/foremen) in their daily tasks as “preposto.” Work together with EHS coordinators internal and external (i.e., CSE Titolo IV). Monitor maintenance activities performed by contractors to ensure they meet EHS requirements and quality of the services they offer. Support the owners of assigned actions in order to find the best solutions to solve the raised concerns. Perform as a formal teacher for safety courses (lifting, material handling, flammable gases, fall protection, ERT…) for employees. Qualifications/Requirements Technical high school diploma. Significant (10 years) experience in EHS matters. Knowledge of manufacturing/service processes, lifting, material handling, NDT. EHS trainer according to D.I. 6/3/2013. Shelved inspector according to PRSES UNI EN 15635. ASPP module A/B certification. Clear thinking attitude to match and anticipate internal customer needs. EU Work Permit. Strong oral and written communication skills in Italian. Desired Characteristics Open mindset to learn and promote EHS culture with passion. Experience in activities of complex plants. Basic communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to coordinate and execute small projects.
