HV Electrical Engineer Data Centre in the Docklands near Cross Harbour and South Quay Huge earning potential through overtime Project based not maintenance Writing and executing switching schedules Shutdowns and Re-energize proceedures Outline of the Job We are looking for a HV trained engineer to act as the authorising person and be the conduit between the maintenance service provider and the main electrical contractors on a data centre build in the docklands. The project is part completed and operational whilst the other part is an ongoing construction this means that here is an ongoing and almost daily requirement for shutdowns and safe isolations. This workload is proving to distracting for the existing team of Shift Leaders and HV AP’s on site and so the client has agreed to cover the cost of an additional person to perform these tasks. The Hours – HV Electrical Engineer The Electrical Shift team on site are operating under the continental shift pattern which works in this rota; 4 days on, 6 days off, 4 nights on, 4 days off, 3 days on, 3 nights on, 4 days off, and then repeat. Due to the ongoing nature of this project the hours would be varied, essentially it would be days but jumping in on additional hours to cover the shutdowns. This is a role that is working for the service provider and reporting directly to the owners of the data centre complex and this contract is expanding so there is great potential to progress through the company. There is a large dedicated facilities and engineering team on site and you would be the fifth person of an existing team of shift leaders.
