Microfluidic Development Technician

Location: Cambridge (CB3) Duration: 6 months Hours: 8am until 4pm (Monday to Friday) although can be flexible Salary: £17 - £20 per hour Job Reference: 35576 Polytec are looking for a Microfluidic Development Technician to join our Cambridge based client. You will be responsible for the inspection, QC and testing of microfluidic devices in a cleanroom environment. Responsibilities: Visual inspection & QC of microfluidic devices, including defect identification and categorization Develop and test tools and fixtures to support volume scale-up activity Document and log process observations, reporting findings back to the team Liaise with external subcontractors providing feedback & drive high standards Contribute to work plans & technical meetings to allow new types of devices to be tested Requirements: A degree in Engineering, Physics, Electronics or a closely related discipline or, a relevant technical vocational qualification or, alternatively, two or more years of technical experience relevant to the role Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills It would be beneficial if you had the following experience: - Working under quality standards - Inspection and measurement techniques for microfluidics or MEMS devices - Familiarity with microfluidic device coatings Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below
