Job Vacancy: Year 1 Teacher Location: Camden, North West London Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: MPS/UPS Outer London We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Camden. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and support our Year 1 pupils as they progress through Key Stage 1 and prepare for their transition to Key Stage 2. OFSTED rated OUTSTANDING Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that follow the Curriculum for Year 1 Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to help children reach their full potential Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independent learning and curiosity Support the development of key skills, including literacy, numeracy, and social skills, ensuring a holistic approach to learning Essential Skills & Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1 A sound understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, including preparation for SATs assessments A genuine passion for teaching and supporting the development of young children Desirable: Experience in differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting literacy and numeracy development in Year 1 Familiarity with current educational trends and best practices If you are an enthusiastic and creative Year 1 teacher looking to make a real impact on the lives of young learners, we would love to hear from you How to Apply: Please send your CV outlining your experience and suitability for the role
