Job Vacancy: EYFS Assistant (Provision Unit) Location: Harrow, West London Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent Start Date: ASAP PAY: £90 - £110 per day We are looking for a passionate and dedicated EYFS Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team in supporting students with complex needs within our school’s dedicated Provision Unit in Harrow. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of young children, helping them to build a solid foundation for their future education. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences that align with the EYFS curriculum Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, focusing on their individual learning needs and helping them develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, phonics and social development Support students in developing SLCN, developing fine and gross motor skills Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies Supporting students with additional needs and disabilities Essential Skills & Experience: Experience working with children in an early years or primary school setting, ideally within an EYFS class Experience supporting children with complex needs, particularly within an SEN school setting. A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and developmental milestones A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with young children Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively and support students with special educational needs. Desirable: Experience working with children who have additional needs, including special educational needs (SEN) Knowledge of phonics and early literacy strategies An understanding of effective strategies to support social and emotional development in young children How to Apply: Please send your CV outlining your experience and suitability for the role
