Due to the high number of applicants they will be unable to respond Overview: We are seeking an Intermediate Civil Designer with over 4 years of experience in land development and municipal design, proficient in Civil 3D, and eligible for EIT, P.Eng. or AScT. The role involves creating detailed designs for land development and municipal projects. Must Haves: Accredited Civil Engineering Degree. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in land development and municipal design. Eligibility for EIT, P.Eng. or AScT designation with EGBC. Proven experience with Civil 3D and related applications. Demonstrated ability in road design and final grading for urban residential projects. Proficiency in designing water distribution systems and sanitary sewers for subdivisions. Capability to perform engineering analysis and prepare reports. Experience in tender preparation and contract administration. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Nice to Haves: Experience with residential wood structural detailing. Knowledge in steel and concrete construction projects. Previous work in a multidisciplinary design team environment. Internship experience in a related field. Familiarity with storm water management and site grading. Experience in cost estimating and design approvals. Responsibilities: Prepare construction drawings and documents for residential and municipal projects. Assist in coordinating design and specifications within a multidisciplinary team. Develop detailed design drawings for land development and municipal engineering projects. Participate in full-service design of civil/municipal engineering projects. Interpret topographic data for design purposes. Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates. Compile as-built records and prepare contract documents for project tendering. Design and execute project drawings in AutoCAD. Prepare reports to support zoning by-law amendment and site plan applications. Coordinate with consultant teams for integrated project design. Address formal response letters to approving agencies for development engineering comments.
