Job Description Ramboll has an extremely experienced global ESG, EHS due diligence and strategy and compliance assessment team, which is itself part of Ramboll’s global Environment and Health business, comprising more than 2,800 employees across 134 offices in 28 countries around the world. Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant to lead tasks primarily in due diligence and regulatory compliance. Inviting bright minds As an EHS due diligence consultant, you will be part of a global team engaged in the development and delivery of environmental and ESG due diligence and strategic advisory projects. The ideal candidate will bring experience of undertaking environmental due diligence across a range of sectors and an understanding of the general concepts and drivers of ESG performance. For this role, your starting point is: A master’s degree in a relevant environmental discipline (e.g., environmental, mechanical or chemical engineering, environmental science). Supporting the delivery of environmental and ESG due diligence projects across a wide range of sectors, including undertaking data room document reviews, confirmatory site visits and reporting. Identifying, assessing and succinctly communicating environmental and ESG-related risks and opportunities to allow appropriate consideration by Ramboll’s clients and their stakeholders. Preparing clear and succinct environmental and ESG due diligence reports. Required Experience 4-5 years of experience in the performance of Phase I ESAs and EHS compliance assessment for various types of industrial facilities. Experience managing site selection, feasibility assessments and permitting of infrastructure and industrial or mission-critical properties, experience with development/decommissioning projects, ESG is a plus. Demonstrated skills managing clients, projects, and staff. Experience developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence and EHS compliance assessment projects. Knowledge and familiarity with D. Lgs 152/2006 and D. Lgs. 81/2008, BAT/BREF, ASTM standards. Professional competence in the use of relevant software including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS SharePoint/Teams, PowerBI, etc. Fluent in Italian & English both spoken and written, a third language (e.g. German, Spanish, French) is a plus. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to: Assess and draw conclusions from a wide range of real estate, engineering, construction, policy, planning, environmental and business development considerations. Review and prioritize risk-based mitigation recommendations covering a variety of technical topic areas. Coordinate internal teams and manage relationships with consultants, external subject matter experts, and clients. Present information to clients, Ramboll staff, subconsultants, stakeholders and leaders to drive alignment and strategic approach to site development or infrastructure projects. Draw upon prior experience to provide advisory support to industry, government, and legal clients, helping them to achieve better, more sustainable outcomes. Work on multiple projects and meet high quality standards on project deliverables. Collaborate in supporting internal and external clients. Comfort with public speaking and presentations to large groups. Working independently with minimal supervision.
