Job Description

Electronics/PCB Design Engineer Location: Milton Keynes (Fully Onsite) Salary: £60-70k Are you ready to design the next generation of cutting-edge technology? Join our clients dynamic product design team, where you’ll shape the future of their products through innovative electronics and PCB development. What You’ll Do: Design and Develop: Create advanced analogue and digital electronics, including PCB layouts, symbols, and component libraries. Collaborate: Work closely with colleagues on PCB configurations, interfaces, and interconnects. Document and Support: Produce technical documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing data while liaising with subcontractors to address manufacturing challenges. Test and Troubleshoot: Develop PCB test strategies, build test platforms, and verify hardware using tools like oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers. Ensure Compliance: Support EMC testing, work with labs on test plans, and resolve compliance issues. Innovate and Improve: Partner with firmware teams, support product assembly and testing, and participate in design reviews. What We’re Looking For Education: Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. Experience: 5 years in electronics and multilayer PCB design. 2 years using tools like Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or Altium Designer. Skills: Expertise in high-speed digital design, signal integrity, PCB stack-ups, impedance control, and EMC compliance. Knowledge of RF and FPGA design is a plus. Proven ability in analogue/digital design for test and manufacture. Bonus: Familiarity with GNSS or automotive applications
