Job Description

Qualifications and Experience Required: Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Project management certification or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in ICT networking or related field. Proficiency in using test equipment and interpreting results. Ability to conduct Critical Path Analysis for project planning. Valid driver’s license and own vehicle. Availability to travel and work overtime as required. Clean bill of health passing a medical examination. Roles and Responsibilities: Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel on-site. Conduct safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members. Staff Management: Lead and supervise project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback as needed. Foster a positive work environment conducive to teamwork and professional growth. SLA Compliance: Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations. Monitor SLA performance metrics and address any deviations or issues proactively. Work Planning & Execution: Develop work schedules and plans for efficient execution of project tasks. Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Site Meetings with Clients: Conduct regular site meetings with clients to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and gather feedback. Drafting Project Plan: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives and deliverables. Project / Site Management: Oversee all aspects of project and site management, including resource allocation, task assignments, and progress tracking. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and compliance with safety standards. QC Checks and Building Files: Perform quality control checks to verify the accuracy and functionality of ICT networking installations. Maintain detailed documentation and building files for completed projects. On-site Stock Management: Manage inventory levels of materials and equipment required for on-site operations. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to replenish stock as needed. Management of Tools and Vehicles: Ensure proper maintenance and availability of tools, equipment, and vehicles for on-site use. Implement protocols for tracking and accountability of company assets. RFQ Scoping of New Requirements: Evaluate and scope new project requirements outlined in requests for quotation (RFQs). Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop cost-effective solutions that meet client needs. Procurement & Logistics: Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials and equipment. Optimize logistics and supply chain management processes to support project timelines and budgets. Compiling New Quote: Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for new projects in collaboration with sales and estimating teams. Ensure alignment of quotes with project specifications and client expectations. Weekly Monthly Customer Engagement and Meetings: Engage with customers regularly to maintain strong relationships and address any concerns or issues. Schedule and conduct weekly and monthly meetings with clients to review project status and performance. Behavioural Requirements: Supervisory, leadership, and conflict management skills.
