CMCC Position cod. 12660 Division Manager – SOWAS Division, ICR Institute Deadline: February 14 th , 2025 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Institute for Climate Resilience (ICR) is now launching a new research division: the Soil and Water Systems (SOWAS) division , to advance the knowledge of the coupled soil and water processes. The Division will cooperate with the other CMCC Divisions to complement, benefit from, and/or feed their already consolidated activities. The ICR institute is looking for a Division Manager, within this new SOWAS Division. ROLE The Division Manager is the leader responsible for overseeing all administrative activities within the division and its projects. The Division Manager will be responsible for planning and budgeting, personnel management, procurement, travels, and projects administration/management. RESPONSIBILITIES Operational processes related to opening research projects and their financial, administrative, and reporting management. Administrative personnel management activities of Division with a strategic approach. Management of the division procurement. Three-year planning and monitoring of Division scientific activities in line with Division's strategic objectives. Supporting the Division Director in the implementation of fundraising strategy and scientific proposal plan. Elaboration and monitoring of (semi-annual and annual) budget. Implementation of Division networking activities and dissemination of scientific activities. REQUIREMENTS Strong focus on research objectives. Ability to coordinate and manage personnel. Ability to plan, organize and supervise research activities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Based on the duration of the employment contract. The appointment is assigned by the Institute Director and the Executive Director. Internal selection; external selection in the event that there are no internal candidates. The gross annual salary will be based on qualification and working experience. The Division Manager will be based preferably at CMCC Office in Caserta or in Lecce.
