Job Advertisement: Quantity Surveyor – New Build Housing Scheme, Hebburn Position: Quantity Surveyor Location: Hebburn, Tyne and Wear Day Rate: Negotiable Contract: Ongoing Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work schedules. Manage the procurement process, including tendering and contract negotiations. Conduct cost analysis and reporting to ensure financial control. Monitor project progress and manage variations. Value completed work and oversee payments to subcontractors. Liaise with project managers, architects, and site teams to ensure cost-efficient project delivery. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. What We’re Looking For A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Proven experience in residential construction projects, ideally in new build housing schemes. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost management tools). Strong communication and negotiation skills. Membership with RICS or a similar professional body (desirable)
