Maintenance Engineer

Foot Mobile – Maintenance Engineer We are looking for a building services maintenance Engineer either with Mechanical or Electrical qualifications and with basic plumbing and L8 experience and a good people person. Your role will be to carry out planned maintenance tasks across twenty-five commercial offices blocks located in Mayfair, Paddington, St Pauls, Bank and City areas. The Hours are 7-4 or 8-5 Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. You will be provided with a Zone one and two travel card. The Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer The core duties are the planned maintenance compliance; Fire Alarm test Daily and Weekly PPM’s Emergency Lighting test Lamping and replacement of ballasts Filter changing and cleaning out drip trays on FCU’s Tap temperature test Fixing leaks and blockages Basic fabric repair, lock replacement. Picture hanging etc. About You as the Maintenance Engineer You will need to be electrically competent although the role doesn’t require a high degree of electrical skills, provided that you understand the principles and safe working practices of working around electrical equipment and plant, the majority of the works are fairly basic building services tasks and some fabric works. You will need to be a good communicator and IT literate as you will manage your own works via planning electronic schedules via a notepad or similar device, and you will manage some sub-contractors via email etc. You can also plan your own overtime which will be self-managed within existing budgets.
