Job Description
HR Business Partner (12910) The opportunity You will work closely with business stakeholders to play a key role partnering with them on the delivery of their People Plan, supporting initiatives such as organisation design, transfers, talent, succession and engagement. You’ll provide proactive, professional direction and support, acting as a commercially aware, focused Business Partner, applying best practice HR solutions that meet the business needs. What you will be doing Understand and engage with business to create collaborative working relationship. Develop and support the business in designing HR solutions which enhance business performance through delivering improved efficiency, effectiveness and planning. Support the business to drive talent & succession reviews, build succession plans and help identify and develop its talent to meet the future needs of the business. Support leaders to develop an environment which promotes inclusion, performance and maximises the contribution made by all staff. Coach and develop the HR Advisor in managing employee relations cases offering guidance, exposure, and opportunities to build their expertise and to enable them to support you. Lead on complex or high-risk employee relations cases, applying sound commercial judgment to manage sensitive situations effectively. Work with external legal team (as appropriate) to manage high risk tribunals and ACAS conciliation's. Work with business on organisation change, large scale transformation and restructuring activity, providing advice and support to ensure plans are robust. Drive implementation and adoption of core HR processes into the business acting as a Client Manager between the business and HR services. Monitoring of HR service levels and fostering the relationship between the business and HR Services to ensure continuous improvement and regular reviews of customer needs. Deliver HR calendar events into the business ensuring they are fully adopted and applied consistently, for example; pay review, bonus entitlements, survey results. Leading and supporting the implementation of HR projects for the business. What we will need from you Level 7 CIPD qualified (or working knowledge gained through demonstrable experience). Track record of operating as an HR generalist, with exceptional business partnering experience. Detailed understanding of preferably all aspects of HR management including resourcing, talent management/succession planning, change management and employee relations. Demonstrable track record of devising and implementing successful HR interventions with bottom line contribution. Solid and up to date knowledge of practical HR principles and practices as well as current employment legislation. Experience of supporting large and, or, complex organisation change, including restructuring, redundancies and TUPE transfers. Experience of working within a national construction/engineering organisation is highly desirable. Solutions oriented, providing explanations and proposed resolutions to problems rather than purely identifying problems. Exceptional verbal and written skills, and competent in preparing and delivering presentations. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Influences, convinces or impresses in a way that results in acceptance, agreement or behaviour change. Well organised, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage competing demands.
