Footwear Engineer

Country Italy Description Four Corners is a recruiter specialized in search and selection of professionals and managers in the Fashion, Luxury and Lifestyle market. On behalf of an important Sportswear Brand, we are looking for a: Footwear Industrialization Technician As part of the Operations Department, the Footwear Industrialization Technician will be in charge of managing the following activities: Management and development of new models’ prototypes (shape, construction, functionality, aesthetics, etc); Engineering for costing and quality; Coordination of the team based in the Far East on industrialization issues; Development of technical data sheets; Verification of conformity of prototypes/samples with the company’s quality standards; Monitoring the achievement of the quality standards set on the finished product also through visits during production (support to QC); Athletes support and/or customization development. Key Requirements 5 years of previous experience in the same role; Technical and modeling knowledge of footwear for the development of prototypes and the relative industrialization of the same; Good knowledge of the necessary processes for the production of footwear; Knowledge of developing customized shapes and forms (i.e. for athletes); Knowledge of leathers: selection, cutting, and consumption check phases; Knowledge of the Office package (Excel, Word); Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English; Ability to work cross-department and meet deadlines; Good organizational and communication skills; Willingness to travel.
