About the Role We are seeking an Initiative Leader responsible for managing and implementing product changes within the plant, ensuring fast execution of innovation projects, local market initiatives, and cost-saving measures. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams including Material Engineers, Product Lifecycle Management Owners, Material Planning, Market Teams, and Research & Development to drive efficiency and deliver value. The position focuses on product development for Essity’s Tempo and Tork brands, supporting their continuous improvement and innovation. The role is based at our Altopascio plant, with potential business trips as required. What You Will Do Support the Quality & Initiative Manager in driving and coordinating product portfolio optimization within your area of competence. Portfolio Optimization: Collaborate with the Initiative Manager to optimize the plant's product portfolio in the relevant area. Project Management System Oversight: Oversee initiatives within the project management system, ensuring process adherence and uploading all mandatory validation documents. Stakeholder Collaboration: Organize and lead meetings with stakeholders to coordinate product launches, changes, and value engineering initiatives. Documentation & Validation: Coordinate risk assessments, First Time Right cards, test plans, test reports, and readiness checklists, engaging all necessary stakeholders. Material Development & Management: Work with Material Engineers on new material development, ensuring alignment with specifications, and manage material transitions for new product variants. Cross-Functional Coordination: Maintain close collaboration with relevant teams and local markets to gather insights for new innovations, activities, and value creation opportunities. Project Execution: Ensure flawless execution of project launches and support start-up execution alongside the Start-up Leader team. Who You Are Experience in production as a process engineer and/or experience in product development, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of product development processes, material management, and cost optimization strategies Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and propose effective solutions Effective communication and collaboration skills for engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Proficiency in project management tools and systems Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in an industrial context Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Proficiency in both English and Italian is required What We Can Offer You A dynamic and collaborative work environment in a leading global company.
