No Offer Description The postdoctoral fellow will carry out research within the ERC project INWO0D - Industrial Wood European Industrialisation as Seen from the Forests (1870-1914). The postdoc will analyze both the extent and characteristics of forest cover. The evolution of forest cover will be explored primarily through a comparison of topographic maps produced between the late 19th and early 20th centuries for selected regions of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The characteristics of forest cover in the case study areas will be examined using cadastral documents, forestry inventories, and photographs.
