Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina, and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government. Position: During the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Doping Control is responsible for performing doping controls from the opening of the Olympic villages to the closing ceremony. Anti-doping controls will be conducted both in and out of competition. The transportation of doping control samples, staff, and athletes undergoing doping control procedures plays a key role in anti-doping procedures by ensuring the smooth running of pre-analytical procedures. The operational management of transport and logistics of doping controls must be carried out by professionals with experience in the management and organization of logistical and organizational procedures both at national and international levels, with organizational management skills and specific knowledge in the field of complex organizations. These professionals will report directly to the Head of Doping Control of the Medical Services of Milan Cortina and will have both an advisor role for the organizational aspects of the competitive and non-competitive venues towards the organizational structure, and operational management at the central level. They will supervise the strategic and operational planning typical of the Games and will assume the role of those responsible for the operational management of the logistical and transportation procedures connected to the doping samples during Games Time. Requirements: Prerequisites: Experience in the operational management of logistics and transport in national and international events, experience in the field of major sporting events, experience in Olympic and Paralympic Games, experience in human resources management. Good English speaking skills. Activities: Logistic and transport strategic plan, strategic plan and concept of operation, logistic and transport operational management, support Head of Doping Control. Responsibilities: Act as a point of contact among the Command Centre and the competitive and non-competitive venues. Represent Doping Control FA in different MiCo2026 planning processes when delegated by the Head of Doping Control. Develop and keep updated planning documents for Doping Control logistics and transports. Organize and document regular meetings of Doping Control FA in support of the Head of Doping Control. Provide planning and issues management support to the Head of Doping Control. Keep up to date Doping Control milestones document working closely with planning and coordination FA. Participate in meetings as requested by the Head of Doping Control. Keep meeting minutes and provide meeting reports to the Head of Doping Control. Skills and Competencies: Strong project management and organizational skills. Previous experience in sports events. Ability to simplify and synthesize information. Previous experience in human resources organization. Ability to work under pressure and a flexible attitude to deal with changing priorities. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Team player and independent thinker. Proactive in flagging problems and proposing solutions. Motivated to learn. Advanced user of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Games Time: Coordination of the logistic and transport procedures, support the observer program. Work Location: To ensure efficient performance of doping controls, the work location will initially be the city of Milan. As the Olympic Games approach, it may be required to move (for operational purposes) to one of the other locations involved in the games.
