Lead Piping Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Piping Engineer to join nexos on a permanent basis in Aberdeen. You will play a key role in overseeing, producing and maintaining piping engineering deliverables in accordance with industry standards, code, legislation and client specifications. Your regular duties will include: Assisting in the preparation of CTR’s and man hour estimates. Creating, checking and responding to technical queries. Checking and approving detailed design drawings of piping systems & supports in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications. Providing technical input during detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication and testing of projects. Technical and engineering decision making associated with any given scope of work. Creation and checking of PED technical files. Creating and maintaining company PMA’s. Reviewing contractor/vendor designs and reports. Carrying out engineering checks on construction workpacks for piping modifications/repair orders. Contributing to the development of engineering staff. To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate: Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry. Degree Qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent Good working knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI etc.) Relevant Offshore Mandatory Requirements (Survival, Medical, MIST, EBS etc.) Ability to demonstrate previous experience in the use of AutoCAD 2D & 3D software.
