R&D IoT Engineer

As Iot Engineer , you will join the R&D team of Regas S.p.A., at our strategic and innovation headquarters in Treviglio (BG) , located within the STEP Tech Park . The main activities in which you will be involved will be related to the achievement of the success of the various orders related to the company’s products. In particular, you will follow the development of the orders (current and future), acting as a key actor in the process: you will support the internal testing team in networking, configuration and start-up of the machines, provide high level support (mainly remotely but not only) to field technicians in the start-up and troubleshooting activities and you will be part of the development team of the company’s new technological solutions. You will be able to solve technical and operational problems, increase your technical skills and be in close contact with the company’s internal departments, national and international partners and customers. You will be inserted into an extremely dynamic, constantly evolving and innovation-oriented organization. In detail, you can deal with : Parameterize, configure and start installed machines, providing, if necessary, remote or field technical support alongside colleagues; Maintenance of applications for machine communication and real-time data collection from the field and subsequent data analysis; Propose improvement solutions and solve independently and with creativity the critical issues that may emerge (in the field activities, from the technological point of view, etc.); Manage the product criticalities, the problems that will arise from the field, analyzing in detail finding the appropriate solutions; Contribute to the development of the high-tech product in the energy field, analyzing the engineering aspects from various points of view (computer, chemical, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, etc.); We ask for the availability of occasional daily trips to other corporate locations. What hard skills should you have? Academic background: engineering (automation, computer science, electronics or similar) or mechatronic or similar ITS diploma; Previous experience (preferable at least 2-4 years) in similar positions; Good knowledge of Python, bash, Docker, Linux, GIT; Good knowledge of field communication protocols (serial, TCP modbus, RTU modbus) and SQL environments (preferably SQL Server); Good experience with cloud servers (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Plat.); Preferential knowledge of GIS, Postgis, Power BI, monitoring stack (e.g. Grafana).
