Job Description
Bid Manager £50,000 -£55,000 We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised professional to support the bid management process. This role involves managing bids from customer requests to proposal submissions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and trade compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Assessing customer Requests for Quotes (RFQs) received by the sales team. Developing a structured bid plan to ensure a successful submission. Managing the bid process, including overseeing submissions and supporting follow-on negotiations as required. Leading the designated bid team through to successful proposal delivery. Collaborating with various support functions (e.g., commercial, export) to ensure proposals align with business priorities and compliance standards. Ensuring all proposals meet customer RFQ specifications. Coordinating cost estimates and finalizing proposal documentation. Drafting management proposals and overseeing all other proposal sections. Facilitating a seamless handover to the project manager during contract reviews. Additional Responsibilities: Meeting tight deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization and initiative. Supporting project planning/scheduling activities, including the creation of resourced schedules with input from the Business Support Team/PMO. Utilizing Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project to produce high-quality deliverables. Reporting to the Bid Management Lead and delegating tasks as needed. Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and management tools. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timescales. Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
