No Offer Description The project aims to develop a model of personalized treatment for aggressive CTCL patients by the integration of flow-cytometric and immunohistochemical data with the disease outcome and response to treatment. To achieve this, we will study the immunophenotype in the blood and skin tumor microenvironment of a cohort of patients for discovering novel prognostic and therapeutic biomarkers (risk and therapy stratification), by taking into account the newly discovered CD39 pathway in the SS cells. The immunophenotype of PB from prospectively enrolled SS patients at diagnosis and under treatment will be characterized by FACS analysis. CD39 and CD73 expression will be monitored in PB at baseline, every six months, and at disease progression. Blood data will be analysed in comparison with the immunophenotype of the cutaneous microenvironment and the clinical data in terms of response to treatment (in particular mogamulizumab) and disease outcome.
