Senior Permitting Manager - Wind, Solar and P2X

Project Manager - Development of Wind, Solar, and P2X Projects Our client is a multinational company that has become a leading developer and operator of photovoltaic and wind turbine projects. The company manages over 2GW of operating assets in several countries across Europe and has been increasing its presence throughout the European market, including Italy. We are currently looking for a Project Manager to deliver our project initiatives in the Italian market. This job offers you the possibility of being the go-to person for all matters related to projects assigned to you, mainly at the development stage, while working in a fast growth 'startup environment' backed by a large international group. Primary Responsibilities: Based in Milan, the Project Manager will report to the Country Manager for Italy. Main duties and responsibilities are related to the Italian market and include: Identifying, assessing, and facilitating new project development opportunities for wind, solar, BESS, and P2X. Performing feasibility and risk assessment studies on projects. Managing the budget and resources allocated to the assigned projects. Taking ownership of assigned projects throughout the permitting stage, ensuring that the pillars of 'land, grid, and permit' are managed efficiently and effectively. Sourcing and proposing project acquisition opportunities, including participation in potential M&A transactions. Coordinating external project developers or professionals, assuring compliance with the signed agreements and deliverables. Handing over and supporting the assigned projects' construction phase. The Mandatory Profile: At least two years of experience working with the development of renewable energy projects (mainly wind and/or solar). Fluency in Italian and English, with strong communication skills in both languages. Verifiable experience in 'greenfield' project development in Italy, spanning from land scouting to RTB phase, including knowledge and compliance with national, regional, and local regulations, managing the grid connection request/acceptance process, negotiating/managing land contracts, etc. Outstanding project management skills. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work on several projects in different regions simultaneously. Prepared to travel often, mainly in Italy. Furthermore, experience/skills in managing the construction of utility-scale wind or PV plants until the commissioning phase, storage and P2X projects, and written and oral communication in other languages would be advantageous.
