About the job We are looking for a OBD Application Engineer to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting hierarchically to the Coordinator of Emission and OBD Application team . You will be responsible for the delivery of the On Board Diagnosis attributes across all Lamborghini applications. Your main activities will be: Delivering the Engine/Powertrain components OBD calibrations in line with the current legislations. Defining the OBD architectures for complex systems. Supporting all aspects of the powertrain software development related to the emission and OBD attributes. Translating the legislation limits and requirements into targets for the vehicle calibration. Providing worldwide documentation to the local authorities to receive certification. Identification and analysis of future development to comply with OBD standards and regulations. Vehicle tests set up for OBD purposes and analysis of results. Cooperation with people in charge of laboratory and test bed activities. Cooperation with homologation authorities and homologation department for testing and certification activities. Supporting the powertrain design team to achieve vehicle compliance. Attending test trips to support development activities. About you Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Physics, Engineering, or an equivalent education. 2-5 years’ industry experience related to OBD application on vehicles. Strong passion for automotive design and development. Very good level comprehension of control strategies for gasoline combustion engine and/or hybrid systems. Knowledge of local laws and OBD requirements, even for emerging markets. Working knowledge of diagnostic protocols. Extensive industry experience related to internal combustion engine or powertrain development including hybrid systems. Good level of knowledge of the MathWorks tools like Matlab and Simulink. Good level of knowledge of the ETAS and VECTOR software like Inca and Canapè. Strong interpersonal and team-working skills, as well as a high affinity for tracking suppliers and delivering first-quality products to the customer. Fluent English; Italian and German will be considered a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills for complex automotive powertrain & chassis control systems. Flexibility and adaptability.
