Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the rehabilitation team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust. The role involves managing a caseload of 12-15 patients, supervising rehab support workers and students, and delivering evidence-based care to promote recovery and independence. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs in an acute hospital setting. Develop and deliver personalized treatment plans to promote recovery and functional independence. Supervise and support rehab support workers and occupational therapy students. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers throughout the rehabilitation process. Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to discharge planning using EPIC systems. Key Requirements: HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. Experience in rehabilitation within an acute hospital setting. Proven ability to manage a caseload of 12-15 patients.
