Senior Devops Engineer

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Velocity Tech is seeking a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and system reliability while mentoring a small team. This role focuses on leadership, automation, performance optimisation, and DevSecOps best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor the DevOps team to foster collaboration and continuous improvement. Oversee scalable, secure AWS environments, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda. Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD. Drive automation initiatives using Python, Bash, or other scripting languages. Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform for consistent environments. Design and maintain AWS network architectures, including VPCs, subnets, and VPNs. Implement AWS security best practices and ensure compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Utilise Zabbix, CloudWatch, and Grafana for system monitoring and incident management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and secure deployments. Required Experience 5 years in a DevOps role, including 2 years of leadership or mentoring experience. Advanced knowledge of AWS services, networking, and security. Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD and source control. Expertise in Linux system administration and Terraform. Proficiency in PostgreSQL database management and optimisation. Skilled in monitoring tools like Zabbix, CloudWatch, and Grafana.
