Full Stack Developer - React.js/Ruby on Rails

Job Overview : As a Senior Architect Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building scalable, high-performing systems that power our telehealth and e-commerce platform. Working with a tech stack including Ruby on Rails, React.js, Next.js, AWS, PostgreSQL, SendGrid for SMS and email functionality, and Authorize.net for payment gateway functionality, you will lead system-wide architecture and actively contribute to feature development. Operating in an agile environment, this role requires a strong balance of strategic system design and hands-on engineering to deliver reliable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the technology strategy and ensure seamless product delivery in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities : - Feature Development : Write clean, maintainable code to deliver key features across the stack, with an emphasis on creating mobile-friendly front-end code. - Architectural Leadership : Design and oversee the architecture of scalable, high-performing solutions using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript. - Develop and maintain REST APIs to enable seamless backend communication. - Evaluate tickets by adding value and assessing complexity points based on technical requirements and effort involved. - Build user-friendly interfaces using Next.js and React.js. - Design and implement integrations for B2C e-commerce platforms and payment gateways like Authorize.net or Stripe. - Implement and ensure robust email and SMS functionality using tools like SendGrid and Twilio. - Actively collaborate in AWS cloud infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting to maintain a scalable and reliable environment. - Create robust systems for API and database testing to ensure seamless integration between components. - Utilize programming assistance tools like SonarQube to maintain high-quality code. - Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical goals with business objectives. - Mentor and support team members to ensure technical excellence across the engineering : - 7-8 years of full-stack experience with both backend and frontend technologies. - 4 years of experience with React js - Proven expertise in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript (ES6). - Strong knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Next.js and React.js. - Demonstrated success in designing and integrating REST APIs. - 3 years experience with B2C e-commerce platforms and payment gateways like Authorize.net or Stripe. - Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, including its various configurations. - Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams to foster collaboration and technical growth. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for development and production environments. - Knowledge of scalable systems design to handle high traffic and large-scale data processing. - Familiarity with security best practices, including encryption and compliance standards like HIPAA. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. - Expertise in database design and optimization, including indexing and query performance. - Familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, and containerization tools like Kubernetes. - Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git, in collaborative codebase environments. - Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
