This key part of our business ensures we fulfill and dispatch orders efficiently so that our customers receive their items on time. It’s driven by Operations Managers who bring the team together to push excellence in safety, quality, and productivity across our sites. At your site, you’ll lead other managers and create the operational plan that helps your teams meet their targets. This role is all about driving operational excellence to create the Amazon of tomorrow. Key Job Responsibilities Manage and develop a team of Area Managers Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives, and implement actions to improve operational excellence Collaborate closely with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security Design and deliver initiatives to enhance operational performance A Day in the Life: You’ll lead shifts at one of our operational sites and be the key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. This means you’ll be closely involved in the day-to-day operations at your site while also contributing to innovative strategies. A typical day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics, and preparing for varying levels of demand. Every day will also involve mentoring and coaching your team, providing leadership and support to help them become the best managers they can be. About the Team Customer Fulfillment, or CF, is where it all started for Amazon. CF has scaled from a humble team of booksellers to a sophisticated global team handling over 1.5 million orders daily. The team is the foundation of our business, helping us diversify across new regions and services. With emerging technology, we continuously seek ways to offer a broader, better product range – delivered quickly and affordably. The CF team is the first link in the chain that helps customers receive products at the speed we’re known for. We operate in Fulfillment Centers, which are at the heart of Amazon’s fast-paced operations network. Our centers are often referred to as the ‘First Mile’ because it’s where most Amazon packages start their journey. We manage dynamic inventory and facilitate speedy deliveries around the clock. We welcome candidates from various backgrounds to work in our Fulfillment Centers, offering opportunities for every skill set. Some team members work with physical products, while others analyze data to support smart decision-making across the business.
