No Offer Description The objective of this project is to verify the efficacy of small molecules belonging to the CFTR correctors family in recovering a defective form of α-sarcoglycan (SG) carrying the amino acid substitution L66H. Activities: Evaluate viability, proliferative index, and myogenic signature of the cells derived from LGMD2D/R3. Test the efficacy of the small molecules in rescuing SG in differentiated myotubes. Perform toxicity tests to evaluate the safety of the different small molecules. The postdoc must have competence and skills in cell biology (to grow, differentiate, and treat myogenic cells) and in biochemistry to perform the requested analyses.
