Maintenance Engineer Internship

Job Description Summary At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace company, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production, and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation. We're seeking an intern to work in our Brindisi Plant in the Facilities Department. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Breakdown of equipment into sub-equipment, down to the single component, for each production area of the site. Definition and creation of the BOM (Bill of Materials) of the equipment in the ERP, with a tree structure down to the single component, for each production area of the site. Definition and creation into the ERP system of the reorder management parameters for all the components included in the BOMs. Definition of preventive SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) for each sub-equipment with periodicity according to the equipment manual, defining execution times, activities that can be performed with the machine working, and activities that have to be performed with the machine stopped, for all the activities foreseen by the equipment manual. Construction of the machine ledger in the standard format for each cell of the plant. Definition of technical cleaning plan for the equipment of each production area of the site, establishing periodicity, execution times, and necessary resources for each production area of the site. Qualifications/Requirements Engineering bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics of complex equipment (vertical CNC lathe, Milling CNC center, etc.). Ability to read and understand complex equipment use and maintenance manuals. Good level of English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills.
