Job Description
Land Manager – Energy / Renewables Location : Flexible – ideally based in the North of England or Midlands. Work from home with occasional travel to sites and HQ. Salary : £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience) plus car allowance, 10% bonus, and excellent benefits. About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding onshore renewables business specialising in wind farms , solar energy , and battery storage solutions . This organisation is at the forefront of the UK's transition to a sustainable energy future, with a strong financial foundation, ambitious growth plans, and a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a Land Manager , your role will be pivotal in securing and managing land agreements to support renewable energy projects. Key responsibilities include: Building strong relationships and negotiating agreements with landowners, farmers, and forestry managers to secure sites for renewable energy developments. Working closely with internal teams, including legal , finance , planning , and engineering , as well as external consultants and contractors, to facilitate project progression. Conducting assessments for land suitability, environmental impact (e.g. bird and wildlife surveys), agricultural use, and archaeological considerations. Managing projects at various stages, from contract negotiation to pre-construction and construction phases (this is not a site-finding role). What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will need: A proven background as a Land Manager , Estates Manager , Forestry Manager , or similar role, ideally within the renewable energy sector . Experience with solar farms , wind energy projects , or battery storage solutions is highly desirable. The ability to engage with key stakeholders, including landowners, project teams, and external partners, to secure agreements and maintain strong relationships. Familiarity with forestry management , agricultural land use , and the planning and development process for energy projects is advantageous. Flexibility and Mobility : A willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings at HQ, as required. Why Join This Team?
