Financial Adviser (Desk Based)

Money, Advice & Planning Ltd is an Independent Financial Adviser business based in Hillington Business Park Glasgow. We have an opportunity for a desk-based financial adviser (or remote financial adviser) who can provide financial advice to clients without meeting them in person. These advisers typically work over the phone, email, or video calls, rather than meeting face-to-face. The main area of focus is on providing annual reviews to clients in line with our regulatory requirements and on occasions providing financial advice should the need arise during the annual review. In addition, there will on occasions be a need to give financial advice to clients around various products and services so completing the whole sales process from start to finish. In addition the successful candidate may have his/her own client base which we are happy for them to service in addition to MAP clients. The package will include a base salary plus commissions and fees and can be either a self-employed or employed position depending on the needs of the individual. Ideally the successful candidate will work from our office in Hillington however we are open to working from home on occasions should this be a preferred option. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning: Assist clients in creating financial plans tailored to their goals (retirement planning, education funding, investment planning, etc.). Annual reviews: Provide, manage and schedule regular annual reviews with clients. Investment Advice: Guide clients on investment choices suitable to their risk tolerance, time horizon, and financial goals. Insurance and Risk Management: Help clients understand their insurance needs and recommend appropriate products (life, health, or property insurance). Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to financial regulations and maintain records of all client interactions. Client Communication: Respond to client queries, conduct regular check-ins, and provide updates on their portfolios. Skills Needed Financial Knowledge: Expertise in investment products, tax regulations, retirement accounts, and other financial services. Must be Diploma qualified. Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly in a virtual setting. Analytical Skills: Capability to assess a client’s financial situation and make data-driven recommendations. Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with financial software, CRM tools, and secure communication platforms.
