Line Manager

Required job position The Line Manager is responsible for managing and supervising specific shipping lines/services. This role is essential to ensure operational efficiency, adherence to schedules, and the maintenance of quality standards in the services provided. The Line Manager organizes and manages the daily activities of the service, ensuring that all operations, such as loading and unloading, are conducted efficiently and according to established timelines. They maintain relationships with customers, terminals, and agents, managing requests and resolving operational issues. The Line Manager analyzes and monitors the economic performance of the services, ensuring all operations comply with local and international maritime regulations. They monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to identify improvement areas and implement strategies to enhance service efficiency and quality. Main tasks : Check vessels position Check port status / congestion / berth prospect / Schedule update Capacity management Cargo flow report update Vessel communications Delta report Extra routing event managing / unplanned tasks Coordination with planners dept to optimize vessel’s utilization. Box update (Booking and PML maintenance) Customers meetings Customer KPI check and review Colleagues training Preparation of annual/quarterly service budget Managing of service costs trying to minimize it in compliance with service quality Continuously check of service performance compared to the budget Suggestions to improve service performance (if any) Workplace: Genova Work schedule: Full Time Type of contract and salary: commensurate with the candidate's experience and profile.
