No Offer Description A significant fraction (almost 50%) of stage III, surgically operated colorectal cancer (CRC) patients undergoes early metastatic dissemination, often with poor response to subsequent chemotherapy. The goal of this project is to distinguish the molecular and biological features of indolent (Born to Be Good, BBG) from aggressive (Born to Be Bad, BBB) CRCs. The researcher will exploit a large collection of annotated bank of CRC patient's derived preclinical models to identify biomarkers of metastatic propensity and intrinsic chemoresistance through genomic, transcriptomic, metabolic and immune profile of BBG and BBB CRCs both in vitro and in vivo.
