Job Description Position: Road Freight Operator Location: Stanford-le-Hope, London Gateway Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Company Overview: A well-established global logistics service provider, operating since 1908 with headquarters in Brussels. Due to limited public transport access, driving is essential for this location. Role Overview: The Road Freight Operator will work within a department of 15 as part of a wider team of 47. The role involves managing European groupage services and arranging the movement of freight from origin to destination, both internationally and nationally. Key Responsibilities: Organizing and coordinating European road freight operations. Managing groupage services and freight movements. Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers. Ensuring accurate and timely handling of shipments. Skills and Experience Required: At least 2 years of experience in European road freight operations. Strong ability to manually calculate costs and charges. Understanding of taxable kilos. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience handling customs paperwork.
