SUPPORT WORKER 25 hours per week, over 2-week rolling rota (i.e. will include working every other weekend). Located in Worthing. 27 days annual leave (pro rata); an additional 3 days at Christmas and all statutory public holidays. Salary: Band 3, Scale Point 13 - £26,726 per annum pro rata (i.e. final salary will be £18,058). Permanent contract. Are you looking for a new challenge and a genuinely rewarding job? Our client is seeking a Support Worker to join their expert team at their supported housing service in West Sussex. They provide both Brighton & Hove and West Sussexs only gender-specific housing and support service for younger people through trauma-informed care. This role is based in Worthing, part of a wider service, which provides a pathway through high, medium, and low-level support. The young people our client works with often have a history of negative and damaging relationships including abuse and domestic violence, as well as mental health issues, behavioural issues, and substance misuse. The role of the Support Worker is to provide a consistent positive professional relationship that will allow the young women to start to trust, open up and address the issues in their past. You will: - Be committed to fostering positive professional relationships with the people you work with. - Understand the effects of early trauma. - Be able to provide ongoing support through the transition within our clients accommodation pathway.
