Job Title: Bench Hand Location: Redditch Shift Type: Days Job Type: Permanent Pay Rate: £15.10 - £16.78 per hour Overview: An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bench Hand to join a thriving manufacturing company based in Redditch. This role will be a key part of the Machining Division, where the successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-precision parts for large aerospace customers across the UK. Scope and Responsibilities: Primary responsibility for deburring machined components from CNC machines. Assist in other areas of the production process as required. Use a range of hand tools such as grinders, sanding discs, sanding wheels, and stones to complete tasks. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. Work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. Understand the importance of 'Right First Time' quality assurance. Read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Be flexible with overtime and working in other areas when required. Willingness to work across different shift patterns. Experience and Skills Required: Proven experience using hand tools such as grinders, sanders, and drill-mounted grinding wheels. Milling, grinding, or CNC experience would be an advantage. Strong hand-to-eye coordination and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience with hand deburring tools is essential.
