Job Description

2020 Recruitment are working with a Glenrothes based manufacturing company who are looking for a Supply Chain Administrator to join their team. This is a permanent contract, and the successful candidate will lead the supply chain responsibilities of the business. Ideally you will come from a manufacturing background, but other industries may be considered. The Role The Supply Chain Administrator will play a critical role in coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and optimising logistics processes to meet production and delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for driving operational excellence. Duties & Responsibilities As the Supply Chain Administrator your duties and responsibilities will include: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Manage inventory levels and track stock movements using inventory management systems. Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics, such as lead times and on-time delivery. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain. Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to optimise supply chain processes. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, inventory levels, and supplier contracts. Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, deliveries, or inventory. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements affecting the supply chain Requirements To be considered for the Supply Chain Administrator you must have the following experience: Proven experience in supply chain or logistics, with experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry standards.
