About the Role: As part of various projects, we are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer in Functional Safety (Process Industry). Responsibilities: Participates in the instrumentation relevant phases of the safety lifecycle activities, as per the project Functional Safety Management Plan, e.g. HAZOP, LOPA, SRS, SIS-SRS, and the like Prepares or verifies the project-specific basis of design for SIS Contributes to development of project SRS resulting in SIF definition along with SIL allocation Performs SIL reliability (SIL verification) calculations of SIFs and supplements specifications for safety instruments and actuators accordingly with required reliability and integrity Actively participates in safety system design, carry out review of engineering to confirm safety requirements are properly implemented Takes the responsibility and validates SIS design, reviews safety manuals and SIL certificates Participates (on request) in project safety spot checks, including equipments inspections Where necessary takes the lead on independent FSA audits and SIL validation on site Supervise coordination of Package Units in regards to design of safety systems, including verification of safety related Vendor documentation (potentially) develop/update of Air Liquide safety standards, work processes or tools Qualifications: Knowledge of IEC 61508 / 61511 / ISA 84 Knowledge of and experience in SIL verification calculation tool e.g. exSILentia Evidence of recognised certification in Functional Safety engineering such as TUV or exida CFSP/CFSE or the like is appreciated Master's or Bachelor degree in engineering Experience in a plant engineering company as Instrumentation engineer, including tasks for Safety Instrumentation for industries, including petrochemical, refinery or cryogenic technology is highly appreciated Advanced in English. Knowledge of Polish, French, German or other languages would be appreciated Computer skills, knowledge of applications such as MS Office, ACAD, use Smart Plant Instrumentation would be appreciated Teamwork, in multi-cultural and multi-project teams, high interpersonal skills Abilities to work autonomous Willing to travel short term to other engineering centers and construction sites worldwide Start date: 06/01/2025 Location: Paris, île de France
