Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,061 per week in New Orleans, LA

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty: Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a level I or II hospital; first-time travelers accepted License: Compact or LA license required upon submission Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT required Must-Have: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (Medical/Religious exemptions only) Job Description: - Work with specialized equipment such as Sterilizer, Sterrad Machine, Ultrasonic (CaviWave, Medisafe, Belimed). - Complete an additional checklist required for submission. - Participate in an 8-hour orientation session. - Adhere to travel compliance and distance requirements from the facility. - Ensure all certifications such as AHA are met. - Provide 2 Manager/Supervisor references for clearance to start the contract. - Orientation takes place 5 days a week. - Must have CPI certification for applicable roles. - Ensure NURSYS Reports for RNs are up to date (within 4 weeks of submission date). Note: Those who have previously worked as permanent staff or in-house contractors must be separated for 1 year before returning in a travel role.
