Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty: Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Shift, Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level I or II hospital setting License: Compact or state license in hand required for submission Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT required Must-Have: - Specialized equipment experience with Sterilizer, Sterrad Machine, Ultrasonic (CaviWave, Medisafe, Belimed) - Additional checklist required and provided prior to submission - COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (Medical/Religious exemptions only) Job Description: - Responsible for sterilizing, cleaning, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment. - Operate and manage sterilization equipment to ensure the sterility of surgical instruments. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that surgical instruments are ready and available for surgery. - Adhere to health and safety protocols and strict cleanliness standards. - Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for sterilization processes. - Participate in orientation to understand facility-specific procedures and standards. - Follow all guidelines regarding submission details, compliance, and documentation. - First-time travelers are welcome. - References from Manager/Supervisor required for clearance to start the contract. - Ensure AHA certifications are current. - Preparedness for certification requirements.
