Service Engineer - Heavy Equipment Location: Stratford-upon-Avon Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 annually (Base: £14/hr; Overtime: £21/hr) Hours: 50 hours/week (39 regular 11 overtime); overtime available About Us We are a top-tier provider in the heavy plant equipment industry, specializing in crawler cranes and piling rigs. Role Overview Seeking an experienced Workshop Service Engineer to inspect, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment, particularly crawler cranes and piling rigs. Ideal for a skilled technician who can perform detailed diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure peak equipment performance. Key Responsibilities Diagnosis & Inspection: Identify and resolve equipment issues using diagnostic tools and industry knowledge. Repairs & Maintenance: Conduct comprehensive servicing, repair, and reassembly of heavy machinery components. Documentation: Prepare accurate service reports, tracking repairs and routine maintenance. Communication: Coordinate with team members and clients on repair status and parts requirements. Health & Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, maintaining a clean, compliant workspace. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 2 years with heavy equipment, particularly cranes and piling rigs. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical systems. Certifications: CSCS card or City & Guilds preferred. Other: Strong troubleshooting skills; teamwork and communication abilities. Driving license preferred.
