Building Services Engineer

FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment in seeking an Electrical Building Services Engineer for a leading international engineering consultancy business, working across a range of sectors including renewable energy, defence, commercial, residential, industrial and retail. This role can be based in Edinburgh, Leeds, Leicester or Manchester on a hybrid working basis. Experience with design processes and an understanding of design stages through RIBA 1-4 is essential. Able to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively, and meet time allocations. Career progression available if required to gain /achieve chartership level Responsibilities: • Conducting electrical services designs across a range of sectors from concept through to completion. • Producing detailed design calculations to support designs. • Developing reports, plant schedules, and specifications for all aspects of electrical building services. • Creating design drawings and conducting site surveys to assess the condition and operational status of existing installations. • Ensuring compliance with all construction health and safety regulations. • Managing construction stage duties, liaising with clients, and consulting with members of design and construction teams. Skills and Experience required for the Electrical Building Services Engineering role: • Accredited qualifications in Building Services/Electrical Engineering (ONC/HNC or Degree). • Postgraduate experience in the design of electrical services. • Proficiency in using digital tools such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Relux, Dialux, Amtech, NBS, and Microsoft Office packages. • Strong understanding of energy conservation, sustainability, and renewable technologies. • Good knowledge of technical standards and legislation.
