Job Title: Paralegal (Asset Management Team) Location: London, United Kingdom Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term About the Role: A prestigious US law firm is seeking a skilled paralegal to join its growing Asset Management team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to sophisticated legal work within a highly regarded practice. The ideal candidate will bring prior corporate experience gained at a leading city law firm and be ready to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced team. Key Responsibilities: Drafting, reviewing, and processing amendments to fund agreements and contracts. Preparing fund-related documents under attorney supervision. Reviewing subscription agreements for fund investments. Creating and organizing closing bibles. Assisting with investment amount calculations using Excel. Coordinating with attorneys and paralegals across international offices. Liaising with foreign counsel and clients directly. Managing document flow from clients and proofreading documents. Conducting legal and company/market research. Requesting and reviewing searches for legal opinions. Responding quickly and accurately to client requests. Education: Three A-levels at grades “AAB” or higher, or equivalent. University degree at 2:1 or above, or equivalent. Graduate Diploma in Law (or another relevant English law qualification/experience), if the original degree is not in law. Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF-handling software, and online resources, with a willingness to learn new tools. Strong mathematical skills, particularly for Excel-based work. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce clear and concise written work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capability to work effectively without close supervision, tackling unfamiliar tasks with enthusiasm. A logical and analytical approach to problem-solving, paired with the ability to use initiative while knowing when to seek guidance. Ability to handle administrative and complex legal tasks efficiently. A professional demeanor and ability to remain calm under pressure.
