Data Cable Engineer (SC CLEARED) Location: South East England, Berkshire, Reading Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Information Technology and Internet Secondary Industry: Telecommunications Salary: £210 - £270 per day (depending on experience) Qualifications: MUST OF PREVIOSULY HELD SC CLEARANCE (Security Clearance) within the last 12months. ECS TRADE SPECIFIC, IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, FIRST AID Our client is seeking experienced Data Cable Engineers to join our team of Voice and Data qualified personnel based in Reading (RG30) or its surrounding areas. Our Data team is working on a major construction project that involves the termination and testing of Fibre and Copper cabling. Key Responsibilities: Install, terminate, and test Fibre and Copper cabling Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Troubleshoot and resolve data cable issues Maintain accurate records of work performed Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals Required Qualifications: SC clearance ECS TRADE SPECIFIC certification IPAF certification PASMA certification SSSTS certification - desireable First Aid certification - desireable Education: Relevant technical qualifications Experience: Prior experience in data cable installation and termination Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in Fibre and Copper cabling techniques Strong understanding of industry standards Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications in data cabling Experience working on construction projects Working Conditions: This role involves working on-site at the construction project.
