Job Description

Our client, a leading water sector specialist are looking for an Electrical (working) Supervisor on a water treatment site in Southampton This is a contract position starting in the New Year, read below for full details: Start: 20th-27th January 2025 Duration: 3 Months Rate: £30p/hour (always subject to skills/experience) Hours: 42-45 per week Candidate Requirements: SSSTS Emergency First Aid at Work Certification JIB Gold Card/18th Edition Relevant Apprenticeship/NVQ etc. Previous water sector experience is essential Demonstratable experience as a supervisor Job Outline: Oversee the day-to-day workload of the site team, including task delegation by the Project Engineer, managing tooling, paperwork and time management. Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of electricians and technicians on site, ensuring high standards of work and safety. Provide guidance and support to the electrical team, ensuring that work is carried out in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety practices. Ensure that the electrical team meets performance, quality, and time-related targets. Conduct inspections and supervise testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations. Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime. Ensure all electrical work is carried out in strict adherence to Health and Safety standards, risk assessments, and relevant regulation Assist in the planning and scheduling of electrical tasks to ensure that project timelines and budgets are met
