Nursery Assistant

Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants to join our lovely, local preschool establishments. The ideal candidates will have a genuine love for working with children and a desire to contribute to their growth and development. As a Nursery Assistant, you will: Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care. Support children with their daily routines, including meals, naps, and toileting. Maintain a clean and organised environment. Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.About you: - Candidates should be nurturing, caring and patient - Have fantastic communication and interpersonal skills - Work well within a team Location - Southampton Position - Nursery Assistant Contract or position start date - ASAP Duration - Permanent/ Temporary (multiple positions available) Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Full time/part-time - Full time/ part-time (multiple positions available) Hours - Variable Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements: Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable. Level 2 or 3 qualifications in Early Years Education or equivalent are highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A caring and patient nature. Ability to work as part of a team. To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must: Hold right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide references upon request Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
