No Offer Description A call is open for a selection procedure on the basis of candidates’ qualifications, integrated by a possible interview, for the assignment of one “PostDoctoral Research Grant” of the duration of one year, with a possible extension, entitled: “Development of the pipeline for the analysis of spectroscopic data of Euclid, implementation and validation of models for the correlation functions of the galaxy catalogue.” The selection based on the assessment of qualifications and an interview is aimed at the acquisition of one personnel unit in the development of codes for the analysis of galaxy correlation functions for the Euclid mission, through participation in the activities of the Galaxy Clustering group and to the official analysis pipeline. The activities will especially include modelling of the 2- and 3-point correlation functions in the configuration space and in the Fourier space, as well as the Monte Carlo analysis of observational data. The research activities envisaged for the grant will be carried out at the INAF-OATs, under the scientific supervision of Dr. Emiliano Sefusatti. The fellowship is aimed at this specific research project and is not announced for long-term recruitment for the Institute or for the project itself. Where to apply E-mail: inafoatriestepcert.postecert.it Requirements Research Field: Astronomy Education Level: PhD or equivalent Skills/Qualifications: Participation to the selection is reserved for Italian and foreign citizens holding the following minimum requirements: Master degree issued according to the previous Italian University regulations or Degree (2nd level) in Physics, Astrophysics or Astronomy, also if awarded abroad. PhD degree in Physics, Astrophysics or Astronomy, or equivalent degree, also if awarded abroad, or at least 3 years of documented experience in relevant fields. A good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written, and good ability to work independently and originally will be required. Specific Requirements: Registration in the electoral lists of their residence place (for Italian citizens only); Age not less than eighteen years; Enjoyment of civil and political rights; No criminal convictions; No pending criminal proceedings. The grant is worth 28,000.00 Euros gross per year, net of burdens to be charged to the National Institute for Astrophysics. Selection process The selection is based on qualifications and possible interview. Qualifications will be evaluated within a maximum score of 50 marks. Applicants whose qualifications score is evaluated not lower than 33/50 marks will be admitted to a possible interview.
