No Offer Description Crabs will be retrieved seasonally and transported to the University's ichthyological greenhouse. The following activities will be pursued during the experiment: Sexing of the animals. Collection of morphometric parameters (weight, length, width, abdominal development, distinction of the individuals between adults and juveniles). Identification of the reproduction and migration periods. Quantification of the reproductive potential of the females (absolute fecundity, relative fecundity, and oocyte maturation stage). Assessment of feeding behaviour by determining: The degree of feeding preference in relation to the type of food (live, fresh, frozen, monospecific or combined diet), sex, and size of the animals. Quantity of food intake (g/kg p.v./day). Critical temperatures for feeding and for the crustacean's life.
